Connect the flashing module in the wires feeding to led bulb as follows:

7440, 1156, 89 and 921 single circuit led bulbs:
Blue Wire - Connect to the + brake light wire toward the bulb side.
Brown Wire - Connect to the + brake light wire toward the power or battery side.
Operating Voltage: 11.5 - 13.5 volts
Maximum Current : 800ma

Note: This module is not suited for filament style bulbs.  A filament style bulb is
not capable of fast switching, and cannot strobe.  The power draw of the filament
style bulb will destroy the Braker Flashing Module.

During testing, Mercedes engineers were able to ascertain that the braking reaction times are shortened by up to 0.2 seconds if a
flashing red warning signal is given instead of the conventional brake light during emergency braking. At a speed of 50 mph this
reduces the stopping distance by about 14 feet, and at 60 mph by approximately 18 feet. This means that flashing brake lights are an
effective and easily implemented way to reduce rear-end collisions.  Brake lights flashing at a high frequency therefore prove to be an
effective means of alerting drivers behind to the risk of a rear-end collision. It also makes motoring safer for road users who do not
drive a vehicle with the strobing brake module.
The braker strobing control module contains a sequencer that will cause an led light bulb (s) to operate as follows:
Each time power is applied by pressing the brake pedal, the led bulb (s) will perform a sequence as follows;
A.  The led light will strobe brightly at a flash rate of 10 hertz (10 cycle per second) for a period of two seconds.
B.  The led light will light bright for as long as power is continually applied to the circuit (i.e.: as long as the brake pedal is pressed).
In our effort to reduce the
large number of dangerous
rear-end collisions,
Brake Light Strobing
is a new development
which warns drivers of this
risk more effectively than
before:
strobing 3rd brake light
increases a following
drivers reaction time.
